Syria warSecretary of State John Kerry made the case to Congress this week, but the questions not asked and the answers not given speak volumes.

In the lead-up to the Iraq War, I researched, wrote and circulated a document to members of Congress which explored unanswered questions and refuted President Bush’s claim for a cause for war. The document detailed how there was no proof Iraq was connected to 9/11 or tied to al Qaeda’s role in 9/11, that Iraq neither had WMDs nor was it a threat to the U.S., lacking intention and capability to attack. Unfortunately, not enough members of Congress performed due diligence before they approved the war.

North Korea preparing to war against the U.S. and allies

wage warNorth Korea threatens break the truce, continuing on the Korean peninsula since 1953. Pyongyang intends to start a war, if it is approved, and a new round of sanctions if the U.S. and South Korea will not stop joint military exercises.

Bangladesh’s parliament has amended a war crimes law

ShahbagBangladesh’s parliament has amended a law allowing the state to appeal against the life sentence given to an opposition leader for his role in mass killings and rape during the 1971 war for independence. Tens of thousands of demonstrators in central Shahbag Square cheered as the assembly approved the changes on Sunday.

Protesters have gathered in central Dhaka for the past 13 days demanding the death penalty for Abdul Quader Mollah, an assistant secretary general of the Jamaat-e-Islami party, for war crimes.

The King and War of Megaron

The king The king was but a chief whose authority was recognized by the other leaders their peers. Indistinguishable from them even by their dress, but carrying a baton or scepter, the insignia of his dignity. He was the leader in war, presided over religious ceremonies, and administered justice in the open. Always belonged to a family claiming descent from the gods, which gave more prestige.

The Ark of the Covenant
