Harald Haarmann, a world-renowned expert on the history of culture, ancient mythology and the history of writing, supports the idea that the oldest written text in the world is contained in the tables found in Romania, near the village of Terteriya, near Sibiu.
After a detailed study of the ancient writings of Sumer, Egypt and China, the linguist investigated and tables found in 1961 in Terterii, which have been dated to 5500 BC. They show strange signs, which were originally adopted by archaeologists for a mere decoration.
Over time, more and more experts, including the famous Harald Haarmann, came to the conclusion that in fact they are the first characters in the world of writing. Ancient civilization, the first in the world, invented in the Balkans, about 8,000 years ago, the first written in the history of mankind, leaving the text that is contained in the tables of Terterii. Over time, were identified about 700 different characters of the alphabet, which is almost equal to the number of Egyptian hieroglyphics … but for thousands of years older. This theory undermines the scientific world and creates a new paradigm in the study of civilizations – says Harald Haarmann.
Until now, it was thought that the cradle of human civilization is Schumer (now Iraq). Sumerian civilization invented writing in 3500 BC After that date, there are forms of writing in China, Egypt, Phoenicia, etc. Terterii writing, dated 5500 BC, 2000 years old, and it is possible that human civilization and culture, as we know it today, was born in the Balkans.
