There is growing demand for underground bunkers, as every day we are ever closer to the ominous date – December 21, 2012. It is these numbers scare humanity for several years running.
People are actively preparing for the important date: some buy and build underground bunkers in hopes of escape from certain death there, others had given up all up and refuse to pay the fines and loans, as no longer see the point.
Version of the likely end of the world, which supposedly foresaw the Maya arose after deciphering hieroglyphics found in the archaeological zone Tortuguero, located in the state of Tabasco in southeast Mexico, noted expert on the heritage and traditions of the ancient people, Eric Velasquez.
According to him, there is really talking about the end of the next cycle of the calendar of the ancient people, but by no means the universal collapse. The ancient Maya did not predict doomsday at the end of December 2012, on the contrary, believed that the world would last for thousands of years.
The scientist said that only one of the many Maya texts, discovered by archaeologists, contains a reference to December 2012. According to Velasquez, in other inscriptions, inherited from the ancient people there dates that are substantially related to the more distant future.
Maya is not a warning of a possible collision with Earth asteroids or the beginning of the world nuclear ward.
Hydro meteorological Center of Russia also does not capture the nature no unusual events indicating the approach of the end of the world. This was stated by the head of department Roman Vilfand.
Responding to a question on the issues discussed in the media predictions of the end of the world in December 2012, Vilfand said: Hydro meteorological Center of Russia expects no end of the world and the reduction of daylight. Until December 22, every day Astronomical day light will be less and less. And on December 22-23, it will be a total of seven hours – very little. No other symptoms associated with the end of the world.
However, despite the various denials of historians, archaeologists and meteorologists, one in ten of the Earth believes the ancient Mayan prophecy that the world will end December 21, 2012.
