The scientist said that only one of the many Maya texts, discovered by archaeologists, contains a reference to December 2012. According to Velasquez, in other inscriptions, inherited from the ancient people there dates that are substantially related to the more distant future.

Maya is not a warning of a possible collision with Earth asteroids or the beginning of the world nuclear ward.

Hydro meteorological Center of Russia also does not capture the nature no unusual events indicating the approach of the end of the world. This was stated by the head of department Roman Vilfand.

Responding to a question on the issues discussed in the media predictions of the end of the world in December 2012, Vilfand said: Hydro meteorological Center of Russia expects no end of the world and the reduction of daylight.
