Ten dogmas of modern science

scienceThe greatest scientific fallacy of all – what science already knows the answers. Though the details are still in need of solutions, but, in principle, the fundamental questions have been settled.

Modern science is on the fact that everything in our world – financially. That all reality consists solely of matter, be subject to physical and chemical laws. Consciousness is seen as a product of physical and chemical activity of the brain. Matter is unconscious. Evolution pointless. God exists only as an idea in people’s minds, and, consequently, in the human mind.

The crisis of the scientific world

scientificAbout two hundred years, the materialists have promised that scienceeventually will explain everything in terms of physics and chemistry. Science proves that living organisms – complex machines, minds – a product of the brain, and the nature of aimlessness. The philosopher Karl Popper called it the “promised materialism” because it was about the promised science discoveries that have not yet done. Despite all the advances in science and technology, materialism, now faces a crisis that was unthinkable in the twentieth century.

A problem of the primacy of matter or mind is still not resolved. Discovered many of the details are highlighted genome sequences, instruments for brain scans have reached a qualitatively new level. But so far there is no direct evidence that life and consciousness can be explained by physical and chemical processes.

Spiritual evolution

evolutionThe human species and leading to an evolutionary leap. For thousands of years different cultures around the world have been attributed to the sun a special role. It is remarkable how he was revered by some civilizations that reached high levels of cultural development in the past, like the Egyptian, where he was revered as a god (Ra and Aton), or maya, that deified him with the name of Kinich Ahau, or the Inca worshiped him as Inti.

All these people were in the sun more than a celestial object. For them it was the very divinity manifested to men. For this reason was the object of worship. One might think that this spiritual identification with a giant-sized fireball was a superstition born of scientific ignorance.

Curiosities on activity solar

activity solarThe scientists of the National Academy of Science in Novosibirsk (Siberia), are the most disturbing- the activity in the last solar cycle has surpassed everything that had been observed in recent years. This increase has also been highlighted by Dr. Mike Lockwood from Rutherford Appleton National Laboratories in California (USA), according to which, since 1901, the magnetic field outside the sun would have risen by more than 230% .

The scientists say the energy that surrounds the sun was for some years a diameter of 10 astronomical units (AU). Each AU equals the Earth-Sun distance, estimated at 150 million kilometers. Currently, however, its dimensions have increased up to 100 AU. This huge increase, according to scientists, will completely transform the planets of the solar system and life that may be in them.

Solar flare threat an intense magnetic field

Solar flareThe Solar and Hemispheric Observatory (SOHO, its acronym in English) has detected a coronal mass ejection emerging from the blast site and heads south toward the Sun-Earth line.

Specifically, the storm broke out at 22.12 hours (CET) on Tuesday and reached its peak strength eight minutes later.

As flares are three types of classification according to their intensity-X, the most powerful, M, medium resistance, and C, the weakest-NASA has classified this eruption X-2.1 class.

Global climate freezing change

Global climateFreezing lost more ice than on record, which started in 1979, BBC reports, and citing data from NASA. According to scientists, the changes are primary and threaten global climate change. In addition the level of the sea ice usually reaches its lowest point in September, so it is possible to further declines.

Now the area of the Freezing covered by sea ice is 1.58 million square meters. miles (4.10 million square meters. kilometers). For comparison, in September 2007, the figure was 1.61 million square meters. miles (4.17 million square meters. kilometers). Notes that over the past three decades, the level of ice in the Freezing has decreased by 13%, and decreases not only the area of ice cover – and reduced ice thickness.

Himalayan glaciers have mystified scientists

glaciersScientists have available new data on the melting of the glaciers in the Himalayas, which did not correspond with either one previously known estimate. The paper was published in the journal Nature and its summary can be found in Nature News.

New data obtained by satellite ICESat, originally designed to study the thickness of the polar snow. Apparatus with laser measures the distance to the Earth’s surface in the Arctic and Antarctica. It was launched in 2003 and served until 2009, until it broke down all three of his laser.
