River in Beirut highlighted in the color of blood

On Wednesday 15 February pelted local officials about allegations that the river in the area of ​​al-Farn Shabbak (Furn al-Shubbak) became blood-red. The authorities immediately rushed to check it out. There is a version that the river could be dropped coloring agents or chemicals. But nothing is yet confirmed. Causes redness of water remain unknown. Minister for the Environment Nazim al-Khoury (Nazem el-Khoury) gave a private order to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident. According to Sabbah Bassam (Bassam Sabbagh), head of the investigation, the same day, when the received signal, sampled water from the river. The results are still unknown, but it seems it’s not blood, and some coloring matter. According to some witnesses, it is not the first time that this changes the color of the river. But the red, it has never been so temporary discoloration few people are scared.
