Scientists put an end to disputes about the cause of extinction of dinosaurs

The LHC were beautiful particle

Physicists working on the Large Hadron Collider, unable to register the first beautiful particle – meson B +.

This is reported in a press release on the site of the experiment LHC.

B + gets its name from the fact that consists of the u-quark and b-quark, or antiquark beautiful. To register one such particle, which was born as a result of the collision of high energy protons in the accelerator, scientists had to analyze about 10 million such collisions.

Found a new type of dinosaur

dinosaurPaleontologists have discovered in Texas, a previously unknown species of dinosaurs. The article appeared in the scientific journal Cretaceous Research, and its summary is provided in a press release from Yale University.

New species found 80-90 million years ago, was named Texacephale langstoni. The size of T. langstoni not exceeds modern dogs and ate plant foods. In total, scientists have found fragments of two skulls.

Researchers believe that T. langstoni belongs to the family pahitsefalozavrov. These lizards differed thick cranial vault – the males of these dinosaurs faced head during breeding season.

The Ocean found the oldest forms of life on Earth

life, EarthConsidered to be completely extinct ancient form of life on earth – capable of breathing nitrogen microbes – found an international scientific expedition, ITAR-TASS. A series of huge fields of these microbes is at great depth in the Pacific Ocean to the west of Latin America.

The origin of the sexes

The current work provides the first empirical support for the model, suggesting that bisexual organisms emerged through a process of encroachment genes. The latter took over responsibility for the production of male and female cells (gametes).
